Documents
Everything that governs how MotoAtlas route data, dossiers and field guides may be used — in one place, with a short summary of what each document actually covers.
Updated October 2026
These terms cover the use of the MotoAtlas catalogue, route dossiers and field guides. They do not constitute a booking contract.
MotoAtlas publishes surveyed route information, elevation telemetry and equipment reviews for adventure motorcyclists. Everything is provided for planning purposes.
We are not a tour operator on this site: no itinerary, GPX track or field guide constitutes an offer to guide, transport or insure you.
Tracks are surveyed at a point in time. Road closures, border rules, ferry schedules and surface conditions change without notice.
You are responsible for verifying conditions with local authorities before riding any route published here.
You may download GPX dossiers for personal navigation. Redistribution, resale or republishing of route data as your own survey is not permitted.
Updated October 2026 · consent version 2026-10-v1
We process the minimum needed to send the weekly dispatch. This page states exactly what is stored, why, and how to have it removed.
MotoAtlas is the data controller for this site. Privacy requests go to privacy@motoatlas.com and are answered within 30 days.
If you subscribe to the dispatch we store: your email address, the moment you gave consent (timestamp), the version of the consent text you accepted, and the page the subscription came from. Nothing else is collected on this site — no name, phone number, address or payment data.
The server keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention; they are rotated and never used for profiling.
We do not run advertising trackers, we do not set profiling cookies, and the 3D route map runs entirely in your browser: no location is transmitted.
Newsletter processing is based on your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the consent box in the subscription form. The only purpose is sending the weekly dispatch.
Technical logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in keeping the service secure.
Subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Unsubscribing stops all sending immediately; requesting erasure removes the record entirely and we keep only a non-reversible fingerprint so the address is not re-added by mistake.
Technical logs are kept for a maximum of 30 days.
You can access, rectify, export, restrict or erase your data, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
Every dispatch carries a personal link to /unsubscribe/<token>, where you can stop the subscription or delete your data with one click. You can also write to privacy@motoatlas.com.
If you believe your data is being mishandled you can lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
Subscriber data is not sold, rented or shared with third parties. It lives in the site database on our own server; no analytics or advertising processor receives it.
Updated October 2026
Adventure motorcycle travel carries inherent risk. Read this before using a MotoAtlas dossier in the field.
Difficulty grades and seasonal windows describe the route as surveyed, not your skill level. A route rated moderate in dry conditions can become extreme after rain.
Never ride a remote stage alone without a satellite messenger and a check-in cadence.
River fords, snow gates, washed-out gravel and border closures are outside our control. Turn around early rather than commit to an unverified crossing.
Route data is provided as-is, without warranty of fitness for a particular journey. MotoAtlas is not liable for damage, injury or loss arising from use of published tracks.
